Finally, Download HP Quickplay
Okay, for starters, forget Badongo.
I am now offering the downloads on my server, but in a restricted manner. Each download will be accessible 50 times in a 24 hour window. The access key to the download will change every 24 hours. If you can’t get in a certain day, try next time. For now, you must visit http://www.asifism.com/downloader/. Then, to download:
- Quick play Direct or HPQPDP, use the access key cb5ef0ea93364937a07a42857e2fffb4. This access key will work 50 times and will expire in approximately 24 hours.
- Quick play for Windows 2.3 or 3.0, use the access key 96aa8c9f26e5e565f0b899478ef3e0aa. This access key will work 50 times and will expire in approxmiately 24 hours. P.S. QPW 2.3 is currently uploading here, and until it reaches 70+ MB, it is NOT complete. Try downloading that an hour after this post.
Hope this helps!

Thanks very much! If there are such great difficulties with hosting, why not use Bittorrent?

I didn’t know of bittorrent, but the primarily problem with p2p is you don’t always get the appropriate audience. Btw, is bittorrent better than limewire?
May 4th, 2007 at 11:46 pm
I cannot say it is better, but it is different. Limewire will tend to be slow, and searching for a file will not always find it. With bit torrent a “.torrent” is generated, which is a small file which contains information about the files which are to be shared. This can be uploaded. Bittorrent as a protocol should offer better speeds when there are many people downloading a file, but it will probably be lower if only a few people are downloading the file. Have a look at the Wikipedia article on bittorrent, especially the part about “trackerless torrents”.
I’m bummed. I got on the http download at first, but the download stopped ~200mb into the file. Now the DL is closed. A p2p option would solve this though, no?

Thanks for the info. I’ll give torrent a shot when I get some time for sure. For now I’ve generated new keys and they’re valid for 30 days. Sorry you DL stopped @ 200 MB.

Philip,
The keys aren’t expired. I just tried them. The download works, because I just downloaded the file. I’ve reset the throttle speed to unlimited. It should work better now. Give it another shot.

Been on this all damn day. When I find keys that work the downloads either stall or are corrupt.
I’d appreciate any type of effort toward fixing these issues. I’m in need of qp direct v 2.3, perhaps a torrent would be more beneficial.
For what it’s worth I like the key system, but everything needs to work in or else it’s redundant.
Kind regards.
