Hi Asif,
It’s me again. I tried to extract the HPQPDP using winrar. It stated that the .z06, .z14 and .z18 are corrupted. So, I redownloaded the files again. This time, I get .z06, .z14 and .z19 corrupted. Sigh….
Now I am trying to download the full HPQPDP. It will take a few hours to complete. Hopefully it works this time… I have been downloading and re-downloading for the past few days!

Hi Tauwei,
Keep downloading the files that are corrupted. I had the same problem and that worked for me. Trust me it is worth the frustation.

I’m not sure why that happens, and eventually the files start to work. Maybe the web server blocks something, but the md5 hashes match. Any ideas?

Hi Sam and Asif,
I downloaded all the files successfully but I couldn’t install it due to “ComponentMoveData” error. Good gracious. After spending days downloading it, I couldn’t install it. It’s so hard to format a HP notebook!

I got the same “ComponentMoveData” error on the HPQPDP 2.3 rar. Something about not having permission to write to “…\program files\common files\…” or something. I have an administrator account.

Well, I’ve researched this before, and this seems to be an install sheild issue. This article deals with the problem: http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=q101562. But Mark says that he’s using an administrator account. Mark, how many administrator accounts does this windows installation have. If it’s more than one, and you’re using XP, then you need to use the one you made initially, if any, when installing Windows XP on the machine.

Is there a problem with the access to the full version? When I enter the code, it simply says, “code has expired.” I tried to just download the sliced version, but part 9 is always corrupted. Ideas?

The key for the full download has expired. I don’ know why you’re seeing part 9 as corrupt. What software are you using to try and extract the sliced files? I will post a new key for the full download later today.
I’ve tried all the sliced files at my end, and they seem to work. The md5 hash matches what I have on my HDD, so there really shouldn’t be a problem.
