HP QuickPlay Download Keys
Okay, my sympathies to all of those whose downloads either time out or get cancelled before they finish. I have made multiple attempts to upload the file onto megaupload or badongo or ten other such sites, but the upload always times out. I assume Virgin Broadband isn’t that bad, so there’s probably a problem at megaupload’s or the other site’s end. In any case, I will look into converting the files into torrents or something like that, although I can’t promise when that will happen.
In the mean time, please be patient; i’m not to keen on paying more money and hosting with rackspace or hostone yet. If anyone’s willing to donate, I’ll be more than glad to rent a more reliable host and move the site over. Or, I’m going to launch a commercial site and rent something reliable for that in a couple of months; if you’re patient, maybe things will improve then.
Another note, please try and post comments about QuickPlay issues and download problems on the latest post, or, chances are, your question will go unanswered or you will not be able to find the answer.

Hi. I have a Toshiba EX2515LDSTW, which originally came with Japanese XPHome and has a multimedia player keyboard/remote. It had a QuickPlay 2.0 preinstalled when I got it(still have the original quickplay recovery disk, but it doesn’t work). Late in December, My HDD failed, so I replaced it myself and installed XP Home -English. Everything works fine, BUT the multimedia panel. I’m hoping the QuickPlay Direct will work on my pc. I haven’t been able to find ANY help or info online anywhere. My old HDD was unrecoverable, even using the preinstalled HD recovery from Toshiba. Any guidance you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again. I’ve downloaded the sliced version(no problem), but the zip doesn’t open. Trying to unzip it, I get a message that the file is invalid ur corrupted.

Hi Michael, have you found any drivers for the recovery panel on the Toshiba website. You can try the hPQPDP download here; it may very well work, although I’m not sure it will have the drivers for the Toshiba model you are talking about.
The file is a .rar. You either need Winzip 11.0+ or Winrar to open it.

Thanks Asif. I used Winrar, and tried to install, but an error message popped up saying it can’t be installed because it’s not an HP system. OH WELL! Guess I’ll give up trying to restore that functionality. In 3 1/2 years, I only used it a couple times anyway.

There is a workout around that. You have edit one of the files; somebody posted that info somewhere on this blog, but it’s going to be a challenge to look for it!

It appears the keeys are not valid anymore. I upgraded to win xp pro, and didn’t backup my swsetup folder, so I’ve lost quickplay. Help?
Thanks
