I used Winrar, and tried to install, but an error message popped up saying it can't be installed because it's not an HP system. OH WELL! Guess I'll give up trying to restore that functionality. You can try the hPQPDP download here; it may very well work, although I'm not sure it will have the drivers for the Toshiba model you are talking about. The file is a .rar. It had a QuickPlay 2.0 preinstalled when I got it(still have the original quickplay recovery disk, but it doesn’t work). Late in December, My HDD failed, so I replaced it myself and installed XP Home -English. Everything works fine, BUT the multimedia panel. I’m hoping the QuickPlay Direct will work on my pc. I haven’t been able to find ANY help or info online anywhere. My old HDD was unrecoverable, even using the preinstalled HD recovery from Toshiba.
