sorry Asifim...I remove the HP Quick Play and reinstall again...and now all works properly...Only one little problem:

I cant start the application by the quick launch button (Quick play button and DVD button) but only by clicking on the desktop icon.

N.B. These two fucking button seems to works because if the laptop is shut down, I can turn on it by clicking one of these two button...(But they can't bring me on media center mode....they simply turn on the machine)

Thanks again...and sorry for my english

Hi Asif! Thanks a lot...I Have followed the instruction of Richard's post, I have fixed the register key and the Setup Program has installed the QuickPlay Correctly!!! But I have found some problems:
1) The Quick Play button and DVD button doesn't work (All the others yes)...If I press it I can't reveal not even the exadecimal code with program like AutoHotKey in keyHistory
2) If I try to play music on whichever format (mp3,wma,wav) QuickPlay start but I see only a black screen and the loading hourglass (I have to do Ctrl-Alt-Canc to shut down the unresponding application)

Why???
My machine is a HP dv6755el and I downgrade from vista to Xp (S.P. 2 and all works correctly). I tried to install QPW 2.3...Maybe I have to try with 3.0?? Maybe I have to try with QPD or HPQPDP???

Thanks a lot
Regards

Giacomo,

Have a look at Richard's comments on the following post. He was able to resolve the issue with the Registry fix posted here.

There's no patch. Which two files do you have when you extract the download? There should be only one executable.

Tom,

Well, here's some news for you: the recovery CDs i had for the dv2120us did not work, so I tossed them. However, the drivers from the HP site did work for the 2120CA; I can only suggest trying those again. My sympathies that you are stuck with a 2120. It was my most horrid experience with a laptop. You will have to go through HP, my friend.

Hi, I need help
I have an HP DV2120CA laptop that recently decided not to boot up into windows.
It would turn on, flash the HP logo and the screen will stay blank,
I tried to reinstall windows on it but a lot of the drivers were missing,
I tried to download the drivers off of the HP website but a lot of them failed to install.

Is there any way I can either download or get a copy of the recovery cds without going through HP?
I desperately need your help!

Thank you in advanced
