Okay, here are the download keys for hp QuickPlay.

Please, use the instructions provided on http://www.asifism.com/installing-hp-quickplay-on-your-laptopnotebook-vista-xp/ for installing QuickPlay Direct before posting questions and queries already answered. Please also visit this page to see HOW TO get the latest QuickPlay Download keys if the keys on this post do not work.

To download QuickPlay, visit http://downloads.asifism.com and use one of the following appropriate keys. Also, DO USE the download of Winrar provided to extract the zipped version of QuickPlay Direct (HPQPDP.rar), otherwise you may get errors while trying to extract it.

For those people who get the QuickPlay Enabled or QuickPlay authorized machine only error while installing, please try the following:

Using Notepad, make a file and save as .reg with the following:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag]
“QPFlag”=dword:00000003
“@=”=””

Then add to the registry by double clicking this file afte you’ved saved it install QuickPlay.

   i HAVE A COMPACQ PRESARIO AND I HAD TO MAKE MY OWN RECOVERY DISKS AND THE RECOVERY PARTION TOOKED ABOUT 8 gHZ ON MY HARD DRIVE I JUST FIND THAT WASABSURD ON HP BEHALF FOR NOT PROVING THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH SHIPPED FREE RECOVERY DISKS ,

   hey there! trying out your solution but I’m still waiting for completion of said HPQPDP setup. It’s been 1.5 hrs now and still nothing happening. Is it normal? How much time should it take? I’m installing on a Pavilion dv5-1153ei Core 2 Duo 2.0/4GB ram with Vista installation from Recovery discs. My hdd light is blinking intermittently and my mouse cursor can move but that’s about it. Can’t alt-tab, can’t click on anything (though pointer moves freely) and Ctrl-Alt-Del has yet to show the task manager yet.

   Jedi,

   Has the machine rebooted the first time since you started the installation or is it stuck without even restarting? Did you get the authorized only machine error when installing?

   Not good. This us a brand new laptop, I take t. Are you sure x: is at the end of your hard drive and you have only 1 physical HDD? Also make sure you only have C and X.

   Also, what is the chipset model and graphic card on the computer?

    Hi, thanks for the great explanations. I would like to install QuickPlay direct but the access keys (listed under “latest”) return a message of “This access key is not valid (anymore)”

    My girlfriend’s hp notebook (dv2000, no quickplay installed; with dual boot linux/winxp) has a nasty habit of, if you happen to brush a quickplay button on your way to the power button, freezing everything pre-bios– blank screen, nothing. You have to let the battery completely discharge, for some reason, to get even the startup screen to show. Then it’s on to grub and a normal startup.

    I thought that if I could maybe install QuickPlay Direct, and this problem were to occur, that I could maybe exit QP and have a successful restart without the power shenanigans. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.

    Hi, I’d just like to mention that i have tried every single code available, and yet not one is valid. I got really frustrated because i really need quickplay to access my web cam. So, it would be highly appreciated if you updated them.
