Hey,
It’s June 9th now and the tip quickplay direct download key has expired. can you please post or email me a new key to download the file. Thanks for your contributions.

After entering a key for quickplay for windows I cannot enter another key for the direct verison of quickplay because after clicking the link http://www.asifism.com/downloader it takes me directly to the one for windows and does not prompt me for another key. What can I do? Also it was not the top key I was refering too that expired. It was the full download for quickplay direct. Thanks.

Alright guys, I’ll post new keys shortly.
Nathan, I need to post keys because of all the weird software installed on the PCs of people who visit this site. I had initially posted the file for a simple download, but I had the same person download about 13 different copies of the file simultaneously, thereby sucking up a WHOLE lot of unnecessary bandwidth when someone else could have put it to better use.

Im able to download the split up files, with a download manager from firefox that makes it easy. Anyway after downloading every file what is it that I’m suppose to do? I already have a 1gig unformated partition. Also quickplay direct will allow me to use quickplay without windows right?

Thanks for the tech info, Asif. Also, since the split version’s key is still up, I downloaded those rather than waiting for a new key for the all-in-one download. The contents of HPQPDP.zip are corrupt; using Windows XP’s built-in zip, opening the archive preview shows all files, but extraction fails. It also fails with opening via 7-zip (my _real_ non-Microsoft zip utility).
June 9th, 2007 at 12:38 pm
Ok, copying files one a time out of the archive with XP has everything alphabetically after Driver.ini (including Driver.ini) working; the first 7 files in the archive are apparently corrupt (Autorun.inf, Custom.ini, data1.cab, data1.hdr, data2.cab, data3.cab, data4.cab)
June 9th, 2007 at 12:48 pm
Ah, never mind. I see now. They’re corrupt because the data is in the other 20 files.
I had to download another zip program to deal with this. Haha.

Daniel,
Just place all the files in the same folder and extract HPQPDP.zip to c:\swsetup\hpqpdp. Then run the setup in there and let QP do the magic for you; make sure the unformatted partition is marked as X:. And yes, This will allow you run quickplay without actually booting into Windows XP, although you will see the windows splash screen before you get Quickplay Direct.

Nathan, I had the corrupt file issue before and I re-uploaded some of the files. If you still have the issue during installation, try extracting the files with WinZip. That should solve the problem. If it doesn’t let me know. I plan to download all the data.cab files separately, but I have some other major sites to upload, and with my internet connection, it’s one or the other.

Thanks for your help.

My problem was simply with the non-standard format used to split the files. Only WinZip and a couple other zip programs will deal with these split zip files. I’ve got the files merged properly now. I’m now working on partitions and the like. Fun, fun.

Hello,
I need some help again.
I made the new partition a logical one on accident with partition magic. How would I go about making that partition a primary one?
June 10th, 2007 at 2:50 am
Use Windows disk management to delete and recreate the partition. Or you can reuse partition magic to remake the partition. To use disk management, go to control panel > administrative tools > computer management. Look for storage or disk management in the left pane.

Can you explain how this should be setup and partitioned from a blank hard disk?

Nevermind I got it to work. Hooray.
