Please also visit the above link to see HOW TO get the latest QuickPlay Download keys if the keys on this post do not work.
To download QuickPlay, visit http://downloads.asifism.com and use one of the following appropriate keys provided below. Also, DO USE the download of Winrar provided to extract the zipped version of QuickPlay Direct (HPQPDP.rar), otherwise you may get errors while trying to extract it. Please note that keys are renewed every 10 days so if they are expired, be patient.

To validate your download, please use the MD5 hashes on http://www.asifism.com/hp-quickplay-windows-vista/hp-quickplay-download-md5-hashes. To validate an MD5 hash, you need to generate hashes for the files once you download them and compare them with the hashes posted on the link. To download the software that will generate md5 hashes for you, surf the web or use the following key:

For those people who get the QuickPlay Enabled or QuickPlay authorized machine only error while installing, please try the following:
Using Notepad, make a file and save as .reg with the following:-
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag]
“QPFlag”=dword:00000003
“@=”=””
Then add to the registry by double clicking this file afte you’ved saved it install QuickPlay.
If extraction for QuickPlay Direct fails claiming one of the files is corrupt, always try the file before and after the number that winrar tells you is corrupt. Both the data4.cab and data3.cab files are huge and span over different compressed pieces, winrar isn’t always accurate.

Great write up! I have both a dv1000 & dv2 and lost the direct functionality from vista upgrades. I was in middle of downloading the z files and now getting access denied. Did the post New Year keys change? Thanks

hello; i am or i was a green card holder but i got deported last year from the us after being released from prison. i had to finish my probation in prison cause i violated it. the violation was change of address without contacting my PO.i had 6 months left in my prob;so i did the rest in the company of mr Sam.i was accused of lewd and lasciouvous,but i pleaded to lesser charge; which it was stupid of my part and my stupid lawyer.i shouldve went to trial.anyway, i end up in the custody of ICE,and there i had no money to hire a lawyer,and ive been told that with my charge i had no chance. my question is:can i get back one day to my family of a wife and two kids.thank you

Hi! I follow your instruccions:
- download files (successful);
- unpack zip files (successful);
- create partition (successful);
- install (error message - only QuickPlay-enabled mechine (yes, with ‘e’));
- create .reg file to fix (successful);
- apply reg change (successful);
- try to install again (same error message).
Any suggestions?
