Hi I’m trying to download the “Full.zip” file and it finishes downloading, but the archive won’t open and the file properties state the size is at only around 290 megs or so. Is the archive corrupt? I’m using firefox to download it with. Thanks in advance if you respond

The full file is 700+ MB. The web server acts extremely shady sometimes and the downloads time out. Try again, or try IE for the download. Let me know if you have a problem with IE too, I’ll file a complaint with the host.

Third time was a charm Seemed to finally work setting it to download in the wee-wee hours EST. Thanks for this file, i can’t believe HP doens’t provide this stuff. I have a brand new DV9000T fully loaded and was a tad miffed after talking to tech supp. and finding out the only way to get quickplay back on the machine was to use the recovery disks. Hey, thanks again!

Glad it worked mate. HP has been very unhelpful in the matter. In fact, when I was first struggling with the issue, I showed them these instructions before tyring them out and they told me no they wouldn’t work.

The host is based out of denmark, so, needless to say, as cheap and feature infested as it may be, it’s not as reliable as US hosting companies; but it’s good for the money.

I have Quick Play run on my xp laptop ( I formated it from vista to xp)

but the quick play and DVD buttons didn’t work . and it seems to work

like DVD player only . how to make the buttons work ?

Have you tried the Quicklaunch buttons driver download for your laptop from hp.com?
