Please also visit the above link to see HOW TO get the latest QuickPlay Download keys if the keys on this post do not work.

To download QuickPlay, visit http://downloads.asifism.com and use one of the following appropriate keys provided below. Also, DO USE the download of Winrar provided to extract the zipped version of QuickPlay Direct (HPQPDP.rar), otherwise you may get errors while trying to extract it. Please note that keys are renewed every 10 days so if they are expired, be patient.

For those people who get the QuickPlay Enabled or QuickPlay authorized machine only error while installing, please try the following:

Using Notepad, make a file and save as .reg with the following:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag]
“QPFlag”=dword:00000003
“@=”=””

Then add to the registry by double clicking this file afte you’ved saved it install QuickPlay.

The keys aren’t working for QuickPlay Direct. And where did 3.0 go?

Well, you’re going to have to wait until Monday, since bandwidth will be an issue at the current rate this month. And there is no such thing as Quickplay Direct 3.0. You never saw it on Asifism.com, so there is no question of where it went.

Hey, im trying to install Quickplay on my HP Pavilion dv9000 with vista home premium and i keep getting the error that says ‘this software can only be installed in authorized machine’

Ive tried the registry fix:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag]
“QPFlag”=dword:00000003
“@=”=””

however i still keep getting the error message. i have tried Quickplay 3.0 and 3.6 from here

any help would be appreciated

Try editing the registry manually by going into regedit.

Sorry, im not the best with stuff like that, what do i do once i find the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag] in regedid?

By the way thanks man for the great uploads and Guide on quick play thing it works on my dv1622tn notebook.

Here is also the steps on installing the Quickplay Direct 2.3 on DV1622tn notebook.Hope this will help you to.

1. Prepare first the FF.
– Windows XP CD
– USB Floppy drive (since dv1622tn don’t have an FDD)
– Floppy disk loaded with sata drivers downloaded from HP site (It will be needed so that windows xp will see your sata hard drive)
*** you can also add your sata drivers to your windows xp installer by using the nlite, you will compile new windows xp installer and insert your sata drivers before burning to a new disk.

2. Run your Windows XP CD (i supposed you enable the sata in the bios) press F6 to load the driver of HDD from diskette or if you use the nlite prepared cd no need to press F6 because it has already the HDD drivers.

3.Format the Hard Disk leaving 1028mb unallocated (for quickplay direct 2.3 installation)

4. Install all necessary drivers and extract the Quickplay direct 2.3 downloaded from asif site to SWSETUP folder.

5. Go to the windows disk management (right click my computer, click manage). You will see the unallocated partition, Assign it as X: partition but do not format it.

6. Install the HP Quickplay and restart when finish.

7. It will now boot on the quickplay partition and load the needed drivers. when it finish it will restart and boot to the windows partion.

8. Install quickplay for windows 2.3 and quick buttons drivers from hp.

9. From OFF mode press the Quickplay keys and you will now boot to the HP Quickplay Direct 2.3.

Now you have intalled the HP Quickplay direct 2.3 on your dv1622tn notebook.

Note: The Quickplay direct 2.3 from asif is a sata drive compatible, that’s why i get a blue screen if i did not enable the sata option in bios.
