New HP QuickPlay Download Keys & Installation Instructions

Okay, here are the download keys for hp QuickPlay.

Please, use the instructions provided on http://www.asifism.com/installing-hp-quickplay-on-your-laptopnotebook-vista-xp/ for installing QuickPlay Direct before posting questions and queries already answered. Please also visit this page to see HOW TO get the latest QuickPlay Download keys if the keys on this post do not work.

To download QuickPlay, visit http://downloads.asifism.com and use one of the following appropriate keys. Also, DO USE the download of Winrar provided to extract the zipped version of QuickPlay Direct (HPQPDP.rar), otherwise you may get errors while trying to extract it.

For those people who get the QuickPlay Enabled or QuickPlay authorized machine only error while installing, please try the following:

Using Notepad, make a file and save as .reg with the following:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag]
“QPFlag”=dword:00000003
“@=”=””

Then add to the registry by double clicking this file afte you’ved saved it install QuickPlay.

sorry for the cross posting.
key for HDQP direct has expired unfortunately.
A query. I have a dual booting system with vista ultimate as the primary OS and XP home as the secondary using the vista bootloader. Which OS do i need to install qpd from and which partition do i need to shrink, the vista or xp?

Also, what is quick play tv and does it apply to me? And can i update my qpw 2.4 on xp to 3.0. On one part of the site, it says after 3.0 and somewhere else it says starting from 3.0.

Hi Stef,

On a dual boot system, I would avoid installing QPD at all. Now, if you are keen on installing it, my first question is: What notebook model are you using?

Regarding QuickPlay for Windows, 2.3 is XP only, and 3.0+ are all Vista only.

and saved below to a .reg file. File updates the registry but I’m still getting the Quickplay authorized error. The QPPFlag in the registry is empty???
