i was held in a geo facility and i saw people there that have been there for 2 years cause theyre ice officer was lazy, i am now glad to be out of america cause here soon all these little tent cities are gonna be holding more than just illegal immigrants. go against the american government and you to might just be held for an indefinite time lol. homeland security is not your friend.

Yes permanent residents are detained here. Some have been detained for a prior record dating back years ago. I know someone in there with a prier marijuana conviction dating back to 1995. There is now justification for putting this elder woman in this poor excuse of a detention center. She served her time (less than a month) and has done a lot to change her life yet she is still in the Willacy County Detention facility. People like her are held there and the only hope for a way out is by hiring a greedy lawyer or signing their rights away and getting deported. I think private facilities like this one need to be banned. There is no excuse for the mal treatment of people, America is not like every country, and it shouldn’t have this type of behavior excused. These people are not terrorist or criminals, these are people hoping for a better life, fleeing from third world countries where such chances are denied. How can so many Americans be nonchalant about the people behind places like the Willacy County Detention facility.

It’s an additional way to create jobs and waste taxpayer’s money. Besides, you do have legal immigrants in tent city. Face it, DHS isn’t exactly efficient. But then, neither was AIG.

I think currently there’s mostly lack of spirit. But American spirit used to be about freedom, justice, and fulfilling the American dream of having your own house, car, family etc., not living in a tent city! That sounds more like a third world terrorist camp dream. Maybe that’s what the Texans are breeding.
