Don't get me started about the backup or the audio drivers or anything else that goes wrong with the HP Pavillion. Neither the HP website or Microsoft make it easy to download the drivers you need. You would think you could input your specs for your laptop or PC and it would find your drivers. After hours over a few days of searching never finding or solving the issues you just want to hit the owner of HP and Bill Gates with you laptop. Simplistic isn't in their vocabulary or lives I see. They sure don't make it that way for us the CONSUMER, the people who made them RICH, RICH, RICH. You would think they would keep that in mind and stop screwing us. Don't they see what happened to Bernie he had it all taken from him very quickly and jail time to boot. So maybe HP and Microsoft might want to remember those who helped you rise to where you are can help your company go under with bad word of mouth long enough. So start hearing us the consumer who pays for your life style

I want to elaborate a little more as HP have my back up so much I swear I will never stop bagging them. I bought my Compaq 3700 now about 3 and a half years ago. I know it's old now. But you see I also had problems in the screen within 9 months. I didn't get repairs done though till about 18 months into the 3 year extended warranty. I kept taking it in for repairs and they kept replacing the screen. On the first occasion however they also replaced the motherboard as by about month 14 the whole laptop failed completely. I was living abroad and the international warranty didn't cover where I was living. So went back to Taiwan where I bought it and they repaired it. Now I've done this 3 times now. It's a good job I have friends living in Taiwan that I see yearly. The laptop has had about 2 years usage in all this time with 1 and a half years sitting around waiting for repairs or waiting for me to pick it up after repairs. But remember, it's been 2 years of use with at least 14 months of screen flickering, wavering, extended lines at the base of the screen slowly creeping up so that it shows the top of the screen at the bottom of the screen. It still worked but not good for your eyes and very frustrating.

It also gets so hot you can fry an egg on it.

My suggestion- Please leave links to this site on Facebook, Twitter and any other forum of interest to warn people about HP. If nothing else we can hurt them financially as that is all they seem to care about. I will enjoy the day this company is taken to task on a class action suit or when the company finally goes broke if ever.

By the way if any HP personnel wish ask me any questions you can get me on
sojutochuseyo@@gmail:disqus .com
I know I'm expecting too much. They couldn't care less really!

In my experience HP have no integrity, offer little to no service and balk at the idea of a warranty or offering decent reliable tested service. They will do a quick fix just to get you out of the door and to comply but don't have a customer satisfaction policy. 2 years of repairs within warranty, 3 screens and a new mother board replaced. 2 days of usage on the final repair and the same problem I'd been trying to get fixed 2 years earlier is still there. A very dishonest company at the least. They take your money and give you nothing but problems.

Lets add to the fact that HP sells there products for top dollar and then screw you! My case a 20" HP2009m Monitor, cost over $200 and starts to fail in two years, of course HP DOES NOT support the monitor, I have $100 Dell Monitors that have lasted over five years and is still going strong. Yes HP is SHIT and Sells SHIT. If you want to get screwed buy HP!

In my experience dell is less slick, but more reliable than HP. HP just blows. Sony's are better - although I haven't had my Sony for a year yet, so far so good.

Lenovo's are also OK, although my lenovo batter packed up after 15 months and it turns out that's because there was a manufacturer's defect.

Samsung is also good - the keyboards are kind of cheap and flimsy, but overall the performance was great and I had mine for 18 months (until it got stolen, of course).

I'm going to save the wall repair and just throw it in the trash. One of my first printers was an HP. It lasted less than a yr. Fortunately it was under warranty. They fixed it. It lasted 2 more months, BAM, same problem. Swore I would never buy another. I Did. SEE ABOVE

HP laptops are getting high marks in 2011, but I'm still leary. I am about to buy a new laptop and a new desktop.. They won't be HP, and I'll NEVER buy another DELL. I'd bet more Dell users feel that way than HP users.
