Newsweek’s Memo to Obama

Newsweek today posted/printed a memo to Senator Obama, primarily pointing out how successful he has been so far, but what a possibly mammoth task he faces in convincing some of the more conservative, traditional, “white” population of the US to vote for him.
The three page extensive article posted on http://www.newsweek.com/id/138611 is well written, and it is clearly aimed at giving Obama information and advice that he may have possibly missed. What I think is most important here is not the fact that this more clearly points out that there are issues which may potentially pose big challenges for Obama’s campaign, but it is a clear signal as to who a poweful force like Newsweek, which has a pretty big readership, supports.
It’s worth pointing out here that no matter who the Presidential Campagin, no matter what race or background he/she is, it is quite an accomplishment to flat out win the support of such a big publication. This can only suggest that Obama has been more than playing his cards right, and for him to surpass the level of critics and journalists alike, to the point where he is actually being offered positive advice, is something. It could mean a new level of much needed unity for the United States, and it says something about the elegance and charisma that Obama moves along with.
I think it is commendable. Hence, I’ve written this.
Will you vote for Obama?

Newsweek’s Memo to Obama…
The fact that Newsweek write’s a letter to Obama proves that he has attained a new level of success; critics and journalists are now uniting to promote the campaign of Senator Barack Obama. This is probably a big step in the unity of America, and I t…

Asif, I am new to this RSS/Blog, etc. thing, but not new to PC’s or the internet. I am no expert either–but I saw your extensive discussions re: HP Quickplay and I wonder if you can help me. I have a year old Pavilion 6433cl and it is working fine…except for one function. The small express card remote control that came inserted inside the notebook, no longer controls the notebook. I have tested the battery and tried an identical replacement remote control…with a new battery–without success. I have updated the notebook with the BIOS and every other update from the model specific HP website and I have recently installed Vista Service Pack 1 and upgraded my Norton protection–but no unusual tweaks. I think I updated the Quickplay–through its own update function and I have run CCleaner (a free cleaning utility that comes highly recommended by CNet and has never given me problems on my desktop. The HP technition just wants to send me a third remote control or ship my notebook in for repairs (and probably erase it back to factory conditions–no thanks!). They said that there is no IR driver in the Device Manager–that Quickplay or the Windows OS will recognize the remote control and connect to it. Of course I have rebooted and made sure I was pointing the remote at the laptop IR port, etc. I am using a MS wireless mouse–but the remote control was working fine after the mouse installation and I think, after Service Pack 1 and Norton 360 were installed. That is part of the problem, I don’t know when, exactly, that the remote control stopped working. I have seen other people complaining about this problem on the web, but have not seen any solutions–do you know of a IR or HP remote control HID driver that I can download. I noticed that another Pavilion 6400 series notebook on display at Costco had a HP Remote Control HID in the Device Manager, and I do not have that in mine, but I can’t find it on the HP website. Sorry, too many questions. I just want the included remote control to work on my notebook! Please help if you can.
